Arsenal and Everton target Carlo Ancelotti’s preference for next job after Napoli sacking
Arsenal and Everton both want to name former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti as the club’s new manager.
Arsenal should appoint Carlo Ancelotti as manager says pundit
Arsenal and Everton target Carlo Ancelotti would prefer a job in London following his sacking as Napoli manager, according to reports. The Italian is currently available and has been backed to make a move to either the Emirates or Goodison Park once his severance package with the Serie A giants is agreed.
Arsenal and Everton are both looking for a new boss following the recent sackings of Unai Emery and Marco Silva.
Emery paid the price for overseeing a nightmare start to the Premier League campaign, with the Gunners failing to win their last seven games across all competitions prior to the Spaniard’s departure.
Silva, meanwhile, was chopped by Everton after a 4-2 defeat to Liverpool in his final game in charge.
A now available Ancelotti has emerged as a contender for both jobs, having recently lost his position at Napoli.
And The Sun say his preference is to return to London, the city he spent two years as Chelsea boss.

Back in 2008, the Blues brought him in after choosing to relieve Avram Grant of his duties.
Things started well enough, with Ancelotti steering the Blues to the Premier League and FA Cup glory, setting a new Premier League record for most-goals scored along the way.
But he was axed in 2010 after Manchester United had succeeded in bringing the league title back to Old Trafford.
Ancelotti’s CV speaks for himself.
He won two Champions League finals with AC Milan in 2003 and 2007, as well as guiding them to the final in 2015.

Man City make Mikel Arteta to Arsenal decision but there is a catch
After his spell at Chelsea, he landed a job at PSG where he signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to kickstart their era of dominance.
Ancelotti ended Real Madrid’s agonising wait for the Champions League crown in 2014.
And, even though he was sacked, he also masterminded Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga title triumph in 2017.
The report says that, though Ancelotti’s preference is a job in London, he’s also open to managing Everton.
But who ends up winning the race for the former Milan, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid boss is something only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Ancelotti has been urged to choose Arsenal over Everton by former Chelsea star Ruud Gullit.
“It’s not because of Everton, but Ancelotti belongs to a contender for the Champions League,” Gullit said on beIN SPORTS.
“Already Napoli was a decision which I was like ‘are you sure?’
“Everton doesn’t play Champions League, it’s not even close.
“Arsenal, yes. For sure. That’s an opportunity for Arsenal to get somebody has the credentials, and the cups and a lot of players want to play for him.”
