Arsenal: Brendan Rodgers ‘best man for the job’ says pundit
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes did not hold back as he gave a scathing assessment of Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Norwich. The Gunners were fortunate to come away with a point as Pierre-Emerick Aubmaeyang’s clinical finishing snatched a share of the spoils.
In what was interim manager Freddie Ljungberg’s first game in charge, the north London side showed the problems run much deeper than former boss Unai Emery.
Scholes reckons the biggest issues are defensively as Shkodran Mustafi and David Luiz had an afternoon to forget.
“It’s no surprise, I think he [Mustafi] was at fault, possibly, for both goals,” Scholes told Premier League Productions.
“He doesn’t tackle, he should be having a nibble at the ball but he drops off so far because he’s so frightened of getting done.

Arsenal are thought to be weighing up their managerial options with Maurico Pochettino and Brendan Rodgers heavily linked with replacing Emery.
Ex-winger Ljungberg has been tasked with steadying the ship until a new boss comes along.
But Scholes does not think the Swede is setting a good benchmark to his squad by wearing a tracksuit.
“You would think he'd be out in a suit to show a bit of proudness that he took the job,” he added.
“To me that's a great start - shirt and tie to show some discipline.

“I don't think he'll be the right man."
Meanwhile, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher was also unimpressed with Mustafi’s performance.
“I have absolutely no clue what he [Ljungberg] sees in Mustafi,” he said. “The others haven't covered themselves in glory. Sokratis [Papastathopoulos] is on the bench, he's been really poor.
“I’m not quite sure what formula you come up with there in the back really for Arsenal , it's not an easy one. [Sead] Kolasinac he's never really convinced me.
“[Alex] Tierney's a really good player, he made a mistake last weekend when he gave a penalty away but I'd like to see him in.”
