Jamie Redknapp praises 'vintage' Dele Alli after Tottenham win with Jose Mourinho claim
Tottenham ace Dele Alli has been praised by former Spurs player Jamie Redknapp after his recent resurgence in form.
Tottenham: Mourinho speaks to Dele Alli in first training session
Tottenham beat Bournemouth on Saturday to keep Jose Mourinho’s impressive start to life in north London going. Dele Alli put in a brilliant performance and scored a double in the win. Now, he’s been praised by Jamie Redknapp for his turnaround in form.
Alli had a bleak start to the season, and subsequently has only started six out of Spurs’ 14 games in the league.
After Mauricio Pochettino was fired and replaced by Jose Mourinho, Alli’s situation was one that Spurs fans were keen to see resolved.
The new boss insisted the 23-year-old would be one of his key players moving forward, and reportedly held private talks with him to try and boost his confidence.
And it seems to have worked a treat, with Alli having racked up two goals and an assist in Mourinho’s first two league games in charge.

On Saturday, he opened the scoring before having a shout for a penalty turned down after his pass across goal was blocked by Steve Cook.
His second was a beautifully taken goal, after he latched onto a through ball from Toby Alderweireld before taking two touches and chipping Aaron Ramsdale.
He had a part to play in the third goal, too, after his through ball released Heung-Min Son on the left flank, before the Korean chipped in for Moussa Sissoko to fire in from close range.
And Redknapp believes the young midfielder is showing Mourinho that he is back to the same player he used to be.

Writing in his Daily Mail column, the former Spurs star heaped praise on Alli.
“We witnessed vintage Dele Alli on Saturday,” Redknapp wrote.
“Remember his goal at Crystal Palace in January 2016, when he flicked the ball over his head and volleyed home?
“I’d rate that a 10 out of 10 for difficulty.
“His second goal against Brighton wasn't far off that either.
“He chested down a long ball, squeezed between two defenders, then beat the goalkeeper.
“He had so much to do, but he did it all sublimely.
“Spurs boss Jose Mourinho will have loved seeing Dele, who is still only 23, do that.”
