Leicester should be ‘worried’ after Brendan Rodgers comments fuel Arsenal manager rumours
Brendan Rodgers’ work at Leicester has earned him plenty of admirers.
Arsenal: Brendan Rodgers ‘best man for the job’ says pundit
Chris Sutton says Leicester should be ‘worried’ after Brendan Rodgers all but confirmed he has a release clause in his contract. Leicester won a sixth consecutive top-flight match first time since their club-record run of seven in March 1963 when Kelechi Iheanacho scored in stoppage time against Everton. It means they remain eight points behind leaders Liverpool and three clear of Manchester City in the table.
Following the sacking of Unai Emery on Friday, Arsenal are on the hunt for a successor at the Emirates.
And it has led to speculation that the Gunners are interested in hiring Rodgers.
After the win over Everton, the Northern Irishman suggested he had an exit clause in his contract with Leicester.
The Northern Irishman angered Celtic fans when he left them for Leicester in February 2019 and Sutton appeared to take a thinly-veiled dig at Rodgers on Twitter.

In the aftermath of Leicester’s dramatic win over Everton, Rodgers was pressed about his future amid speculation linking him with Arsenal.
"There probably is [a clause] in most manager's contracts. It is all hypothetical - all these types of situations," Rodgers told Sky Sports.
"For me, at this moment, we've had a brilliant win today.
“My focus is very much with Leicester because I made a change eight or nine months ago, and I've been so happy since I came here.
"I feel, with the players, we still have a lot of work to do.
"Most managers contracts will have something in that but, for me, my only concentration is with Leicester.
"I've been very fortunate in my career to work with some brilliant clubs and great institutions.

“It was an ambition to come to here to help the club arrive in the top six. Everything's been great since we've worked together.
"My ambition is to help this club, a responsibility to share that with the others and move the club forward.
“There's great potential here at Leicester City to push on in the next few years."
