Manchester United have been regularly linked with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Man United: Koulibaly 'wouldn't have issues' at club says pundit
Manchester United transfer target Kalidou Koulibaly has posted a message on social media, appearing to say that he feels “at home” at Napoli.
Defender Koulibaly has regularly been linked with a move to Old Trafford with the Red Devils struggling at the back.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to still be on the hunt for a partner for Harry Maguire, who he signed in the recent summer.
But Koulibaly has now posted a message which appears to signify a wish to stay at Serie A side Napoli.
Koulibaly posted a message on Twitter alongside a picture of himself in a Napoli tracksuit which translated to: “This is where my children were born.
“This is where I grew up as a man and a player.
“This is where my family and I feel at home."
United were linked to a number of centre-backs during the summer before bringing Maguire from Leicester to Old Trafford.
But boss Solskjaer expected to be busy again come January with United having won just four of their first 12 Premier League matches.
Solskjaer recently said about the next transfer window: “We’re looking at one or two new signings. We’re one or two players light.
“If the right ones are available in January then we might do something. If not, these players will give everything (for a top-four finish).
“I’m not going to go down the route of bringing players in on big contracts and big fees if they’re not the right ones for the whole group and for the future.
“The money is there to strengthen in January and in the summer.”
Manchester United’s next match sees them travel to Sheffield United on Sunday (4.30pm).
