Solskjaer praises Fred
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Fred after his impressive performance in the 3-1 win over Brighton on Sunday.
The Brazil international impressed at the weekend and is beginning to finally live up to his £52million price tag.
And Solskjaer was delighted at seeing Fred keep things ticking over against Brighton.
“He set us off today with his midfield play, we won the ball, had to get after them,” he said after the game.
“Propper and [Dale] Stephens, we couldn’t let them get on the ball and Fred was maybe the catalyst.”
Raiola transfer wish
Mine Raiola wants Paul Pogba to leave Manchester United for a stunning return to Juventus.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim the super-agent wants his client to make the move to Turin as soon as possible.
Pogba reportedly has a poor relationship with United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And Juventus would love to re-sign the player they sold four years ago for a then world-record fee of £89million.
McTominay injury update
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fears Scott McTominay may be out for up to two months after the Manchester United star was stretchered out of the 3-1 win over Brighton.
“He went over on his ankle. It's a painful one," said the Norwegian.
"I've had one and I was out for eight weeks. But then again sometimes you're back in two weeks, so I don't know.
"He's in for a scan tomorrow, but it looked painful and he's not one for rolling around."
Ed Woodward dig
Former Manchester United star Ander Herrera has aimed a dig at Ed Woodward by claiming his old club’s priority isn’t football.
Herrera told French magazine So Foot: “I was very happy at that incredible club. I am very grateful to the supporters. Frankly, I was immensely happy in Manchester.
"But at the club, there were times when I felt that football was not considered the most important thing.
“I will not say [whether he was referring to the business].
"That does not come out of my mouth. I don’t know, but football was not the most important thing in Manchester."
