Jordan Henderson missed the Champions League match with Genk in midweek due to illness and there was thoughts that Oxlade-Chamberlain could replace the captain.
However Henderson is back to fitness and likely to keep his place.
It means Oxlade-Chamberlain may have to cope with a place on the bench with Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum likely to join Henderson in midfield.
In defence, Joel Matip is out injured due to a knee issue meaning Dejan Lovren is likely to get the nod over Joe Gomez alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Klopp said: “Joel [Matip] is still out, like Shaq and like Clyney. That’s it, probably.”
That means it will more than likely be Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in attack.
Klopp added: “You cannot make games bigger than they are already. It’s a very important game. A very, very important game.
“But we cannot make it more important than very, very important.”
