Paul Scholes says Liverpool draw has changed his mind on how many signings Man Utd need

Man Utd: Paul Scholes says he has 'still got faith' in Solskjaer
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has changed his mind over how many signings his former side need to make.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed he will be on the market for new recruits in January.
Scholes says following the Red Devils’ Premier League losses to West Ham and Newcastle he thought they needed up to six new signings.
However, following the 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, he now believes only “two or three” additions need to be made.
You go to the Liverpool game and you think ‘maybe not as many, maybe two or three’
Solskjaer has been under pressure following Manchester United's poor start to the season but Scholes believes his former team-mate deserves more time in the job.
“To assess the season so far I think 14th tells you everything about what it’s been like, it’s not been good enough so far,” Scholes said on BT Sport.
“But we have to trust in what Ole is doing, he’s right at the start of his rebuild.
“You have to say his first three signings have done very well in [Harry] Maguire, [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
“There’s some games where you think ‘they might need five or six players here’, then you go to the Liverpool game and you think ‘maybe not as many, maybe two or three’.
“I think it’s all in the forward areas. I think not having a recognised No 9 is a problem, maybe a creative player, a No 10 as well.
“It’s confusing at the minute because you’re thinking you go from the West Ham game, you go from the Newcastle game, ‘might need five or six’.
“I’ve still got the faith in him, he’s right at the start of it and he’s made three really good signings at the start.
“So let him carry on and hopefully get some right players in.”
