Man Utd fans delighted as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer starts James Garner vs Partizan Belgrade
Manchester United fans are buzzing with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI to face Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League, as young James Garner makes his first full debut.
Manchester United fans have praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for giving James Garner a chance in the starting XI.
Garner was named in the United team to face Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League tonight (5.55pm).
It’ll be the first time the 18-year-old has started for the Red Devils, having only previously featured in the Premier League once.
Solskjaer knows that a win for United is crucial, as anything else could see them fall out of the group’s top two.
Yes Garner is starting
“Yes Garner is starting,” said one fan on Twitter.
Responding to United’s starting line-up, another said: Garnerrrrrrr. Damn i hope he doesn't disappoint. I’ve been wanting to watch him play at the level for so long.”
“JIMMY GARNER,” tweeted another fan, while one supporter simply wrote: “GARNERRRRR.”
Another United supporter added: “Very excited to see Garner.”
“Garner finally gets his chance!!,” said one fan, as another tweeted: “finally Garner starts.”
Garner made his Premier League debut for United in February.
He came on as a 90th-minute substitute in a clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The youngster came through United’s youth system, and was promoted to the Under-23s in July.
He’s primarily known as a defensive midfielder, and has a single cap for England’s Under-19 team.
Meanwhile, there’s also a place in the United starting line-up for youngster Brandon Williams.
The 19-year-old left-back has already featured for the Red Devils in the Europa League this season, as well as in the Carabao Cup.
He played for 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw against AZ Alkmaar earlier this month.
