Celtic boss Neil Lennon drops update on three Hoops stars ahead of Lazio Europa League tie
Celtic manager Neil Lennon has given a team selection hint ahead of the Hoops' Europa League clash with Lazio at Parkhead tonight (8pm).
Celtic could welcome Ryan Christie back to the starting XI for tonight’s Europa League meeting with Lazio.
The 24-year-old is currently serving a domestic suspension following a red card against Livingstone before the international break.
But the playmaker is available to feature in Europe and manager Neil Lennon has suggested both Christie and Tom Rogic could face the Serie A outfit.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Lennon said: "Rogic was training today and should be fine.
“Having Ryan Christie back is a big boost. He's had a very good season so far and is in contention for tomorrow.
"[Olivier] Ntcham is still unfit, we're hoping he'll be fit for the weekend.”
Celtic come into the tie on the back of a thumping victory over Ross County, meaning Lennon is unlikely to make too many changes to his starting XI.
Fraser Forster should continue in goal while Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer are expected to line up in central defence.
Hatem Abd Elhamed could replace Jeremie Frimpong at right-back but Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo is likely to get the nod on the other side of the back four.
Lennon confirmed that Scott Brown will start in midfield while Callum McGregor should partner the Hoops captain.
Christie is set to start in the No 10 role while Mohamed Elyounoussi scored twice at the weekend and will retain his spot on the left wing.
James Forrest was also on target in the 6-0 win and could start on the right flank in support of lone striker Odsonne Edouard.
Celtic predicted line-up vs Lazio – Europa League
(4-2-3-1): Forster; Elhamed, Jullien, Ajer, Bolingoli-Mbombo; Brown, McGregor; Forrest, Christie, Elyounoussi; Edouard
