Two supporters were photographed outside the ground, carrying a banner reading: "Glazers Out, Woodward Out, Over £1bn Stolen From MUFC."
The Glazer family have had a controlling interest in United since 2005 and fans have been restless ever since they completed their leveraged buyout.
It originally prompted the 'green and gold, until the club is sold' campaign, which saw supporters arriving at Old Trafford wearing green and yellow-striped scarves, mirroring the colours of Newton Heath, the club United started out as.
But, Woodward has recently ruled out any chance of the Glazers selling up at United.
He appeared adamant that the club's owners were 100 per cent committed to continuing at Old Trafford.
United go into the clash against Liverpool craving a win against their long-time rivals.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has led United to wins in just two of their eight Premier League fixtures this season.
The club sit in 14th place in the table, and could drop down to 15th with a defeat.
United haven't won any of their past three league matches, and recently failed to beat Astana and Rochdale in cup competitions.
Liverpool, meanwhile, head to Old Trafford aiming to equal a Premier League record.
Jurgen Klopp's side sit at the top of the Premier League table, knowing that a victory will see them equal Manchester City's record of 18 consecutive league wins.
It would also take the Reds back to eight points clear at the top of the table.
But, Liverpool have only won at Old Trafford once in the past 10 years.
