Mauricio Pochettino has promised Tottenham fans he will not “run away like a kid” despite increasing speculation he could leave White Hart Lane.
He even hinted he would be happy to be at the club five years from now - even if he was still answering the same questions about his future he has faced since he first arrived.
It has been a difficult few days since the record 7-2 home defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
Having previously been linked with jobs at Real Madrid and Manchester United, some have now been left wondering if Pochettino is still good enough even to take Spurs any further than he has already managed.

“I said I am responsible for the situation of the team,” he insisted.

However, despite their Champions League humiliation, Pochettino will not be doing anything different.
“One bad result is not going to change our plans,” he said. “We are so strong in our mentality and ideas.
