Everton team news: Predicted 4-2-3-1 line up vs Aston Villa – Silva gives Digne update
Everton have been boosted by the return to fitness of Lucas Digne ahead of their Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Friday (8pm).
Everton: Marco Silva previews Aston Villa clash
Everton manager Marco Silva will be able to call upon Lucas Digne when the Toffees face Aston Villa at Villa Park on Friday evening.
The Frenchman was forced off midway through the second half of Everton’s 1-0 win over Watford last weekend, sparking injury fears over the 26-year-old.
However, Digne trained with the rest of the squad this week and Silva has confirmed the left-back is fit and available against Villa.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Toffees manager said: “He will be available.”
There was further good news from Silva, who revealed Leighton Baines is also back in the squad and can provide cover if Digne is unable to play the full 90 minutes.
However, summer signing Fabian Delph remains sidelined and is yet to feature since joining from Manchester City last month.
"He's already started with the team, not a full session, but he has started with the team,” said Silva.
“It's possible next week he will do a full session with the team and there's a possibility he will play during the two matches next week."
Jean-Philippe Gbamin is therefore expected to partner Andre Gomes in central midfield although Morgan Schneiderlin is now back from suspension.
Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard are all likely to start in support of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, although Moise Kean will play a part after a bright cameo last week.
Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi are further options off the bench, although the latter is not yet fully match fit following his move from Arsenal.
At the back, Digne will be joined by Seamus Coleman, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane while Jordan Pickford will line up in goal.
