Man City vs Spurs: Pochettino reacts to VAR decision
Raheem Sterling nodded the hosts in front before Erik Lamela equalised against the run of play.
Sergio Aguero then put the hosts in front but Lucas Moura headed home from a corner to nick a point for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
City thought they had won it when Gabriel Jesus had the ball in the net in stoppage time, only to see his effort ruled out because of Aymeric Laporte's handball in the build-up.
Here, Express Sport rates the performance of the Spurs players.
HUGO LLORIS - 6
Could do nothing about the goals and was left exposed by his back line
KYLE WALKER-PETERS - 5
Probably Spurs’ best defender but containing Raheem Sterling is no easy task and he will have to share some of the blame for his opening goal
DAVINSON SANCHEZ - 5
Strong in the tackle but nowhere to be seen for any of the goals
TOBY ALDERWEIRELD - 5
Only ever really saw him when City were bearing down on goal or when he was shanking it out for a throw-in
DANNY ROSE - 4
The weakest link in the Tottenham defence. Most of City’s attacks started on the right and he simply could not contain Kyle Walker, Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva
MOUSSA SISSOKO - 6
Was decent on the break but lacked the quality to really hurt City
HARRY WINKS - 5
Did very little before being replaced by Lucas Moura 10 minutes into the second half
TANGUY NDOMBELE - 6
An encouraging debut last week and he did get the assist for Lamela’s goal. Overall, though, an underwhelming performance
ERIK LAMELA - 8
An unlikely hero as he scored a clever goal but was given a huge helping hand by Ederson who was woefully out of position when he struck. Also delivered the corner for Lucas Moura’s goal
CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN - 3
Had no influence over the game whatsoever and was outshone by his City counterparts on every level
HARRY KANE - 4
Barely touched the ball on a frustrating afternoon for the isolated frontman
SUBSTITUTES
LUCAS MOURA - 7
Had an immediate impact with his goal and looked determined to make a point
GIOVANI LO CELSO - N/A
OLIVER SKIPP - N/A
