Lukaku joined Inter on transfer deadline day for £76.5million after appearing to have fallen out with United during the summer transfer window that saw him training separately from the team.
The Belgium international has also been linked with a furious row with Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan during the pre-season tour in China which reportedly ended up being the final nail in the coffin.
The Belgian didn’t show up for practice this week as he opted to train with Anderlecht instead without permission from the Red Devils.
The striker ended up moving to Inter but doesn’t seem to hold a grudge as he thanked the United board, fans as well as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Twitter and wished them the best for the new season.

”Thank you and good luck for the future @ManUtd.”
United confirmed Lukaku’s move to Inter with a message of their own on their website.
The Manchester club thanked the 26-year-old for his efforts, which saw him scoring 42 goals in 96 appearances.

An announcement from the Old Trafford outfit read: “Everybody would like to thank Romelu for his efforts at the club and pass on our best wishes for the future.”
Lukaku almost joined Juventus in a swap deal that would have seen Paulo Dybala moving the other way to Manchester.
However, United opted against signing Dybala due to his wage demands and his agent’s excessive requests which made it look like he wasn’t particularly keen on joining them.
