Fiorentina want Eboue
ARSENAL’S Emmanuel Eboue is a £9million target for Fiorentina and several Spanish clubs.
Fiorentina have money to burn after selling midfielder Felipe Melo to Juventus for more than £22m and want to offer the versatile player a five-year deal.
Atletico Madrid, who made a bid for Ivory Coast international Eboue last spring, have not given up their pursuit and Roma and Inter Milan are still interested.
But Pascal Boisseau, Eboue’s agent, said: “There are also several Spanish teams after him.”
Arsenal, looking for a ball-winning midfielder, were in the hunt for Marseille’s Albanian international captain Lorik Cana. But the Gunners lost out to Sunderland who last night signed him on a four-year deal for £5 million.
