Man Utd is a ‘massive step up’ for Bruno Fernandes says fan
Sporting star Fernandes has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United all summer, despite the club distancing themselves from transfer talk.
The Portugal international hit 31 goals from the middle of the park last term and has also been linked with Tottenham.
Tottenham are unlikely to sign the 24-year-old today, though, with Spurs instead focusing their efforts on securing the signature of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis.
Links to United continue to go on with just hours to go.

United are in talks with Juventus over a deal for Mario Mandzukic, while Robert Lewandowski has also sensationally been backed to join.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are trying to force through a deal for Paulo Dybala.
Dybala nearly joined United last week but the Red devils pulled out of a transfer, believing he was not fully committed to Ole Gunnar Solsjaer’s project.
But a move to north London could be on the cards with Spurs trying to thrash out an agreement.
Meanwhile, speaking recently Sporting president Frederico Varandas insisted the club would compete for major honours with or without Fernandes.
“What I know and the guarantee I can guarantee is that this Sporting will be ready to compete with our ambitions,” he said.
“Let's be prepared for the new season.”
On the allure of the Primeira Liga club, Varandas added: “It’s important for new players to realise the global dimension of this club and feel the weight of the jersey they will wear.
“And this crowded stadium is proof that we have thousands of fans scattered throughout Europe and the world.”
