According to Gazzetta dello Sport, United have made an opening offer of €8.5m (£7.79m) per year to Dybala.
In weekly wages that equates to about £150,000.
However, The Sun claims salary negotiations between the respective parties are “way off”.
The publication adds that Dybala would expect a wage offer in the region of £250,000-a-week.

Dybala made his professional debut at 17 in Argentina’s second division with his hometown club Instituto.
The forward then joined Italian side Palermo in 2012 for €8.64m.
Juventus confirmed the signing of Dybala three years later in a €32m deal.
