Celtic boss Neil Lennon hints at immediate signing as he prepares for Champions League tie
CELTIC manager Neil Lennon has hinted that the club could sign another central defender within the next two days as he prepares to take on Nomme Kalju.
Celtic are take on the Estonian champions in the second round of this year’s Champions League qualifying.
If the Hoops are victorious they will only need to beat two more sides to reach the group stages for the first time since 2016/17.
When asked whether new signing Christopher Jullien would be handed a starting role for Wednesday’s first-leg clash at Parkhead, Lennon admitted that he isn’t sure if the defender is ready.
Lennon said: “Christopher has only played 50-odd minutes since last May.

Another reason Lennon was unsure as to whether Jullien would start involves a possible incoming deal, which the former Bolton boss mentioned in passing at the end of his response.
He added: “It will also depend on whether we get someone else in.”
That news will excite Celtic fans as before they go head-to-head with Rangers in the Premiership.
The Hoops have won eight league titles in consecutive seasons but are likely to face a stern challenge in the form of Steven Gerrard’s rejuvenated side.
