Arsenal have made Wilfried Zaha transfer decision as Unai Emery hunts second signing
ARSENAL have given up on the signing of Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha, according to reports.
Arsenal will 'never' sign Wilfried Zaha says Mariner
Arsenal had a bid of £40million rejected by Crystal Palace for Zaha earlier this month.
The Ivory Coast international is said to be keen on a move to the Gunners.
However, Palace are wanting up to £100m for the 26-year-old who still has four years remaining on his Eagles contract.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol says there are doubts whether Arsenal could stump up the cash for Zaha.
I’ve been told that Arsenal have all but given up on Zaha because Palace are standing firm
“There are now doubts about whether Arsenal can afford to sign him,” Solhekol said.
“Palace are very, very relaxed.
“They’ve got their £50m from selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
“They value Zaha at closer to £100m.
“Palace under no pressure to sell him at all.”
Rob Dorsett added to what Solhekol said by claiming Arsenal are currently no longer in the market for Zaha.
But he said nothing should be ruled out before the window shuts next month.
“I’ve been told that Arsenal have all but given up on Zaha because Palace are standing firm,” Dorsett said.
Arsenal: Zaha offer 'disrespectful' to Crystal Palace says pundit
“They’ve got their money for Wan-Bissaka, they don’t need to sell Wilfried Zaha.
“Of course it doesn’t mean it won’t happen, there’s a long way in this window still to go.
“But we’ll see what happens there.”
Arsenal have made just one signing so far this summer in the shape of young Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli.
