New Man Utd signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka left fuming with one thing
MANCHESTER UNITED new-boy Aaron Wan-Bissaka is said to have been fuming with Aidy Boothroyd’s decision to drop him for the last two matches of the England Under-21’s ill-fated European Championships.
Man Utd: Aaron Wan-Bissaka says its an ‘honour’ to join club
Wan-Bissaka had a shocker in the Three Lions’ opening match against France, which culminated with him scoring an own goal.
In the aftermath of his side’s defeat to the hosts, Boothroyd claimed Wan-Bissaka’s head had been turned by his then-imminent move to Old Trafford, which he completed last weekend.
The former Crystal Palace defender was dropped for England’s last two games of the campaign, both of which they failed to win.
And according to the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old was ‘left fuming’ by the decision to drop him for the remainder of the tournament.
Wan-Bissaka was the second signing of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign as Manchester United boss, the first being Wales international Daniel James.
The defender cost United a cool £50million, making him the second most expensive English defender of all time.
Wan-Bissaka is currently on holiday but will link up with his new team-mates next week on their pre-season tour of Australia, Singapore and China.
The full-back is relishing the opportunity to play for the Red Devils, saying: “It’s an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player and something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say.

“I can’t wait to get going and integrated into the squad.
“I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I’m looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour.”
Solskjaer was thoroughly impressed by what he saw of the defender last season and believes his arrival at Old Trafford is a step in the right direction for the club.
The Norwegian said: “Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League.
“He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further.
“Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that’s important at his age.
“I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far.”
