Liverpool troll Barcelona's Messi and Coutinho in funny video after Champions League win
LIVERPOOL supporters poked fun at Barcelona and star players Lionel Messi and Philippe Coutinho after their Champions League win on Saturday night.
Liverpool fans parade trophy around FC Barcelona shop
Having watched their side beat Tottenham 2-0 in the final in Madrid, a group of fans descended on a Barcelona club shop with fake Champions League trophies.
They were in fine voice as they sang ‘Allez, Allez, Allez’, the terrace song that has provided the soundtrack to their incredible campaign in this year’s competition.
In a video that was posted online they can be heard singing at the tops of their voices and holding the fake trophies aloft.
One fan pokes fun at Messi as he stands in front of a picture of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Fans then leave the shop singing ‘we are the champions, champions of Europe’ and one is seen stood in front of a snap of former Reds star Coutinho before waving and saying "sorry Philippe."
Liverpool secured their place in the final thanks to an incredible come-from-behind victory over Barcelona in the last four and the fans were clearly delighted to get one over their former star.
They all appear to be in good spirits in the footage and it is easy to see why.
After agonisingly missing out on the Premier League title despite amassing a whopping 97 points, they quickly put that disappointment behind them to claim their sixth European crown.
On Sunday, around 750,000 fans flocked to Liverpool to pay tribute to the players as they paraded the trophy around the town.
The scenes in Madrid prompted manager Jurgen Klopp to declare it the best day of his life and that was before they had even started a night of celebration.
"This may be the best night of my life, professional wise," the German said.
"This is so important. Tonight, it's really emotional.
“I am overwhelmed, to be honest, but I'm much calmer than I thought I would be when it finally happened. I feel mostly relieved, to be honest.
“Relieved for my family because the last six times we were away on holiday and always with a silver medal and that doesn't feel so cool.
"This is for the boys, the fans and for the owners who do not put any pressure on us and appreciate the development of huge steps we have made.
"For the players, they were pretty much crying on the pitch because it was so emotional, so big, and it means so much to us."
