German outlet Bild are now reporting Arsenal could have the opportunity to offload Kolasinac to Schalke.
A return to the Bundesliga club he made his name with would free up extra funds and space on the wage bill for Arsenal.
However, there are two issues potentially standing in the way of Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies’ plan to resign former players coming to fruition.
Kolasinac would first of all have to be willing to swap Arsenal for Schalke, the team he made his professional debut with in 2012.

Even if the 25-year-old is keen on a move, the finances would have to be right for Schalke to be able to resign him.
Arsenal do not have the access to huge funds like Premier League rivals Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
So they might try to squeeze as much as possible out of a deal for Kolasinac to help boost Emery’s transfer kitty.
Arsenal have been been credited with interest in Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico as they seek out defensive reinforcements.
