Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he was EMBARRASSED by fan support this season
MANCHESTER UNITED manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted his embarrassment at his side being clapped off the pitch in their 2-0 loss to Cardiff on the last day of the season.
“It’s near-embarrassing when you walk off the pitch clapping them and you get the support we have,” Solskjaer said.
“That’s the base of this club, the foundation is so great. We’ll come back again.
“We’ve got good players who have gone through a difficult season. There’s different reasons for players having a bad season.
“Some might be their fault, the club’s fault or our fault. Some might look in the mirror and say ’I can do better’.”

olskjaer also admitted that challenging for a Premier League title again would take a ‘long time’.
"More or less the only positive from today is that the season is over. We meet again on 1 July and we will work back to where we belong,” he added.
"To reach the leaders it will take a long time. For ourselves, the short-term focus in the league will be getting into the top four.
"We have got the Europa League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup to go for a trophy because Manchester United can't go many years without winning a trophy.

“Jose [Mourinho] won the Europa League last and that is a realistic ambition.”
Paul Pogba’s future at the club is filled with uncertainty having been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks.
Solskjaer has said that he is adamant Pogba will be with United next season but the France international is said to be pushing for a move to the Spanish capital.
The club have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Swansea’s Daniel James, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
