MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be ‘under a lot of pressure’ if the Red Devils have a poor start to next season.
Huddersfield vs Man United: Solskjaer reacts to 1-1 draw
Manchester United will NOT play in next season’s Champions League after their dire draw at Huddersfield on Sunday.
Jamie Redknapp has revealed that he FEARS for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job next season.
He told Sky Sports: ”At times that was shambolic.
"My fear is that if next season doesn't start well, Ole will soon be under a lot of pressure.
“I fear for them because they are in a bit of a mess.”
Alex Scott picked out one player that was at fault for Huddersfield’s goal - Luke Shaw.
She explained: "As a full-back, you have to be switched on and ready.
"From start to finish, that's poor defending from Luke Shaw."
Huddersfield defender Christopher Schindler was proud of his side after their final home fixture before relegation, and called it a step in the right direction.
"It's been a tough, tough season.
“We're all knackered but we wanted to leave everything on the pitch today to show the fans our character.
"This is a type of game we had more often last season - hopefully our supporters can keep their heads held high after today.”
The result means that United can only finish fifth or sixth this season, and Schindler claimed that the home side needed little motivation ahead of chairman Dean Hoyle’s exit.
He continued: “We didn't need much motivation, we knew it was going to be our last home game for the chairman.
“For what he's done for the club and this region is unbelievable. Maybe it's too dramatic to say we wanted to give him something back but obviously we wanted to give him something to be proud of.
“Today was a step in the right direction."
