Tottenham: Arsene Wenger says he is 'not jealous' of new stadium
Wenger oversaw the building of the Emirates Stadium during his time in charge of Arsenal.
The Gunners’ ground was opened in 2006 and has a capacity of 60,260.
After months of waiting beyond the scheduled opening date, Tottenham were finally able to play their first game at their new home in early April.
It is now the biggest stadium in the capital, holding a maximum of 62,062 people.
I’m not jealous and not envious
Spurs wanted to outdo their north London rivals by providing more seats for their supporters.
Wenger says there is nothing wrong with competition between the two sides.
But he claims he does not envy Tottenham’s new home at all.
“No [I have not been there yet],” Arsene Wenger said on beIN SPORTS.
“Yes I will visit the stadium because it’s always interesting.
“I was in the heart of the building when we did the Emirates.
“I spent many hours inside the stadium, so it’s always good to see some new ideas.
“I’m not jealous and not envious.
