Man Utd join Tottenham and Arsenal in £75m summer battle for Wilfried Zaha
MANCHESTER UNITED are interested in taking Wilfried Zaha back to Old Trafford but will have to fend off competition from Tottenham and Arsenal.
Crystal Palace: Hodgson addresses Zaha transfer rumours
Crystal Palace star Zaha was previously at United but struggled at the Premier League giants.
The Ivory Coast star wants to play Champions League football and United, Arsenal and Tottenham are all involved in the battle for the Premier League top four.
Any potential deal may be dependant on Palace lowering their asking price with the trio believing he is overpriced at £75million.
Zaha’s Crystal Palace team-mate Scott Dann, though, believes the Eagles will keep their asking price as it is.
He said: “Every player wants to play at the highest level. He has not said anything untoward.
“He is striving to be the best he can be and if that means he has to move on at some stage then that is the way it goes.
“When you have got that type of quality, there is no doubt there are teams who are going to be looking at him
“But we know, because of the way he trains and the way, that it will not change his performance as long as he is here.
“He will keep performing like he did against Arsenal on Saturday. When he is like that, he is unplayable.
“There are not many out there who can do what he can do. He has got the qualities to play at the very top. Of course, we would not want to lose him.
“But if something happens in the summer and he goes then I am sure it will be in the right way. And he is not going to go on the cheap, that is for sure.”
With three games of the season remaining though, Zaha himself is focused purely on Crystal Palace.
He said: "To be honest, the only thing I am thinking about is Palace.
"I am at Palace right now, and I'm a Palace player.
"I don't know what my future holds for me, but I am here at Palace working for Palace, so that's all that is on my mind, I am not distracted by anything else.”
Zaha is set to next be in action when Crystal Palace host Everton on Saturday.
