Man Utd star complains to friends over changed Marcus Rashford attitude
MARCUS RASHFORD’s behaviour in recent months has reportedly angered one of his Manchester United team-mates.
Marcus Rashford lacked 'interest' against Everton says pundit
Marcus Rashford has been an integral part of Manchester United’s attack ever since his impromptu debut in the 2015-16 season.
The England international has been a revelation for the Red Devils, scoring 46 goals in 166 appearances.
His importance to United has become more and more apparent with each passing year.
But according to the Independent, the 21-year-old, who is reportedly a transfer target for Barcelona, has become somewhat of a cocky figure.
They recently claimed one of Rashford’s team-mates has ‘complained to friends’ about the striker not being ‘the humble figure he used to be.’
The startling claim comes a little over 24 hours after Manchester United’s humiliating 4-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday.
Rashford was anonymous for large portions of the game, and his inability to affect the match didn’t go unnoticed by former Red Devil Gary Neville.
He said: “Marcus [Rashford] this last couple of weeks has been nowhere near.
One of Rashford’s team-mates has ‘complained to friends’ about the striker not being ‘the humble figure he used to be.’
“I went to both Barcelona games and he looks off it at the moment.
“He looks like he's carrying an injury at the moment, or something is not quite right, or the season has caught up with him.”
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was disappointed with his team’s performance at Goodison Park, saying: “From the first whistle, everything went wrong.
"I just want to apologise to the fans.
Man United need to go in a ‘different direction’ says pundit
"They're the only people with the badge on today who can hold their head high, because we can't."
He later added: "We were beaten on all aspects today and the only place we beat Everton - I can't say we beat them - but we had a fantastic support and I just want to apologise for the performance we turned out."
Manchester United will be back in action on Wednesday night, welcoming title-chasing Manchester City to Old Trafford (8pm).
They currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table and trail fourth-placed Chelsea by three points.
