Cardiff vs Liverpool: Salah penalty call discussed by pundits
Cardiff captain Sean Morrison was adjudged to have held Premier League top scorer Mohamed Salah back inside the penalty area with ten minutes remaining of the clash at the Cardiff City Stadium, allowing substitute James Milner to score a second for Liverpool from the spot.
Bluebirds boss Warnock likened Salah to diver Tom Daley after the Easter Sunday Premier League clash, which left the hosts three points from safety behind Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League table.
Warnock said: "I thought it was a soft one. I don't think he could have got much higher off the diving board at the end of it."
The frustrated Cardiff chief admitted defender Morrison had given Salah "an opportunity."
He added: "One-by-one we keep surprising people, so who’s to say what’s around the corner in this year’s Premier League? It's a fabulous league."
Striker Salah has 19 goals in the 2018/19 Premier League season, leaving him level with Sergio Agüero, of Man City, and Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Egypt talisman turned provider for Milner's confidently-taken penalty, but Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said he was certain referee Martin Atkinson had made the correct decision.
Speaking of his satisfaction with his side's second goal, the Reds boss said: "I think we counter-pressed four times and won the ball.
