Arenal team news: Predicted 4-2-3-1 line up to face Crystal Palace – Key duo ruled out
ARSENAL will be missing several key players for their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace this afternoon (4pm).
The Gunners are looking to continue their winning run when they host Palace at the Emirates, having secured a Europa League semi-final spot in midweek.
A comfortable 1-0 victory over Napoli in Naples ensured a 3-0 aggregate score and a meeting with Valencia in the next round.
And now Arsenal return to league action hunting a top-four finish, although they will take on the Eagles without both Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Aaron Ramsey.
Sokratis will serve the second match of his two-game ban for accumulating 10 yellow cards throughout the season and looks set to be replaced by Shkodran Mustafi.
Meanwhile, Ramsey suffered a hamstring problem against Napoli and there is a fear that he has now played his last match for the Gunners before his summer move to Juventus.
Lucas Torreira also appeared to pick up a knock during the win on Thursday but finished the match, with Arsenal having used all three substitutes.
Mesut Ozil could come in for Ramsey while Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will also hope to start after stepping off the bench for cameos on Thursday.
After the midweek win Unai Emery hinted that he will rotate his squad, saying: "Some of the players who played today maybe cannot play on Sunday.
“We want to play a lot of matches, difficult matches, but we need to prepare well.
“Now it’s important to rest and tomorrow we will work with some of the players who didn't play today."
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has impressed at right wing-back and should start there again while Sead Kolasinac will line up on the opposite flank.
Meanwhile, both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started against Napoli and it remains to be seen who will get the nod this weekend.
Arsenal predicted line-up vs Crystal Palace – Premier League
(3-4-2-1): Leno; Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Torreira, Kolasinac; Ozil, Iwobi; Lacazette
