Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher reveals he has changed his mind on title race and Man City
LIVERPOOL legend Jamie Carragher admits he has changed his mind on the destination of the Premier League title.
Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp discusses title race with Man City
Liverpool currently sit top of the Premier League table following Sunday’s win over Chelsea at Anfield.
However, second-placed Manchester City, who are two points adrift of Jurgen Klopp’s side, do have a game in hand.
City have the tougher fixtures on paper, with Tottenham visiting the Etihad before a short trip to face local rivals Manchester United.
Liverpool do not have to face any other side from the top six in their last four matches.
Right now, I couldn’t split them
Jamie Carragher says after the recent international break City were overwhelming favourites to win a second successive title.
However, Liverpool have won all three league matches since that break.
And Carragher now cannot pick a favourite to who comes out on top in May.
“I think after this international break City were big favourites for me,” he told Sky Sports.
“They were in the box seat.
“I think Liverpool coming through Spurs, Southampton, Chelsea, even though City have a one-point lead and better goal difference, I think the league’s 50-50 now.
“I’ve always thought City were in front.
“Liverpool had to get over these three games and then the four left.

Both Liverpool and City are in Champions League action before their next league match.
Liverpool look to defend a 2-0 lead when they visit Porto in their quarter-final second leg on Wednesday.
City have to overturn a 1-0 deficit in their second leg against Tottenham on the same day.
