We’ve done well at Hampden recently, but that’s forgotten about now
Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer
“Of course it will be a battle, but we have to win the physical battle before you earn the right to play.”
Aberdeen shocked Rangers in the quarter-finals to book their place in the last four, with Derek McInnes’ side targeting their first trophy since 2014.
Ajer is highly regarded by Celtic fans, and saved the day with a last-ditch tackle to deny Joe Worrall an equaliser in last week’s Old Firm victory.
He added: “As a centre half, you want to do as well as possible and contribute to the team. I am enjoying my football right now. I love playing for a massive club like Celtic.

“I don’t score that many goals for the club, so I have to celebrate the stuff that I can [his tackle against Rangers].
“It was a great feeling to have that tackle and my reaction was to celebrate it.
“When you hear the fans celebrating your tackle like that and you know how much it means to everyone, the adrenalin starts pumping and you just want to celebrate.
“It was a good feeling. I’ve watched it back a few times.”
