Tudgay offer to spark Turf war
MARCUS TUDGAY has told Sheffield Wednesday he wants to talk to Burnley about a move to Turf Moor.
Tudgay has just agreed a new long-term deal at Hillsborough but is keen on playing in the Premier League with Owen Coyle’s side.
The Clarets have bid £1.75million for Tudgay but the Owls want closer to £4m.
Tudgay’s agent Darryl Powell said: “If an opportunity arises, Marcus would like to speak to Burnley. When a Premier League club show interest, you want to take a look.”
Tudgay is now on a collision course with Brian Laws and the Owls manager said: “Marcus agreed terms on a new three-year deal and I expect that to be signed in the next few days.
“This is a desperate move by Burnley to unsettle the player. It would take a lot more money than has been quoted.”
