Fantasy Premier League tips: Best Fantasy Football transfers for FPL GW33
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE managers have very little time to get their squads in order before the reduced GW33 comes around.
Fantasy football bosses are still getting over the drama of the most recent double gameweek but have little time to relax with the next set of fixtures just around the corner.
The FA Cup semi-finals mean a reduced line-up of matches this weekend while managers also have to be wary of Liverpool’s Friday night trip to Southampton.
An early deadline is sure to catch plenty of FPL gaffers out while no games for Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City mean alternatives need to be found.
Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Leicester and Bournemouth are all expected to receive plenty of investment ahead of Friday’s 7pm deadline – but who will you sign or sell?
Fantasy Premier League tips GW33
GKP: Martin Dubravka (Newcastle United) – £5.0m
The Magpies stopper is reasonably pricey at £5.0m but still offers good value with over 100 points already this season ahead of the visit of Crystal Palace.
DEF: Jeffrey Schlupp (Crystal Palace) – £4.5m
Schlupp has been a popular transfer target in recent weeks with Roy Hodgson deploying the defender in a left-wing role.
Palace kept a clean sheet against Huddersfield and stand a chance of yet another at Newcastle while any attacking returns would be a bonus.
DEF: Sead Kolasinac (Arsenal) – £5.0m
The cheapest way into the Arsenal rearguard ahead of a trip to Everton, with the Gunners having kept consecutive clean sheets for the first time since GW7.
DEF: Emerson Palmieri (Chelsea) – £5.2m
Marcos Alonso is an injury doubt after the narrow win over Cardiff and Maurizio Sarri rates Palmieri as a like-for-like swap.
Much cheaper than the regular Blues backline.
MID: Dwight McNeil (Burnley) – £4.4m
McNeil has two goals from his last two outings as Burnley make a bid for survival, although Bournemouth will be a stern test away from home.
MID: Karlan Grant (Huddersfield Town) – £5.0m
Misfired against Cardiff last time out but represents an excellent differential and show this goalscoring ability against West Ham.
Leicester are leaky on the road and Grant could make Brand Rodgers’ side pay.
MID: Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth) – £6.2m
Likely to be in-demand this week with Bournemouth hosting Burnley ahead of a comfortable run-in.
ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton) – £5.4m
Arguably doesn’t get enough goals to justify his price but the Everton frontman has looked a threat in recent weeks and is in good form.
ST: Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) – £9.0m
Sergio Aguero's injury has seen managers jettison the Argentine with Vardy identified as a solid alternative.
Goals should come against Huddersfield and Newcastle but don’t keep him long-term with a killer run-in to come.
ST: Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) – £9.2m
Managers are right to be wary of Liverpool assets ahead of a tricky trip to Southampton, although Firming has three goals and an assist in his last three matches.
