Graeme Souness DESTROYS star with seven-word outburst during Liverpool vs Tottenham
GRAEME SOUNESS made his feelings clear on Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier during Sunday’s match against Liverpool.

Trippier was making his first appearance for Tottenham since the north London derby draw against Arsenal at the beginning of March.
Liverpool took the lead inside the first 16 minutes, with Roberto Firmino heading home a fine Andy Robertson cross.
Former Spurs and Liverpool striker Robbie Keane said at half time Trippier should have done more to close down Robertson.
Sky Sports presenter David Jones then said to Souness: “Robbie makes the point about Kieran Trippier, why doesn’t he go out?”
Because he’s not a very good defender
And Souness brutally put down the England international in response.
“Because he’s not a very good defender,” Souness said of Trippier.
Souness went on to explain how Trippier should have relied upon Tottenham team-mate Toby Alderweireld to be in the right position.
“If we see it again, the ball’s switched," the pundit continued.
“Watch Trippier look over his left shoulder.
"He’s wondering where Alderweireld is - he shouldn’t be.
“It’s easier to play with a five, it should be easier for the widest player, the full-back, wing-back, to go and sprint to the ball because you’ve got three centre-halves behind you.
“He’s gone out to the ball looking over his left shoulder going ‘where are you Alderweireld?’.

“He shouldn’t have to do that.
“Just sprint and assume that Alderweireld is there. He has to sprint there.
“But Trippier’s strength is going forward and delivering the kind of ball that Robertson did, not defending.”
