“Spurs have definitely had a wobble and lost some games that really they shouldn’t have – the Southampton game, the Burnley game.
“These are games where if you want to be in the top four or challenge for the title you can’t lose and especially in the manner that they did.
“So that was disappointing and then of course the immediate reaction is to start looking down and start worrying.
“It would be quite a negative to not finish in the top four, especially with the new stadium coming next week.
“I still fancy Spurs though to join Liverpool and Manchester City. Then I’d go for United.”

Manchester United return to action on Saturday when they host Watford at Old Trafford (3pm).
Tottenham face a tough trip to Anfield to take on Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday (4.30pm).
Chelsea visit Cardiff before that match while Arsenal take on Newcastle on Monday night (8pm).
Another way Spurs could qualify for the Champions League is by winning the competition - something Anderton believes they are capable of.

He added: “The thing about this Tottenham team is that they have the ability to beat anyone on their day.
“They went to Barcelona and got a point. Last year against Real Madrid they beat them 3-1 and that could have been six or seven. Harry Kane bullied Ramos and that was a joy to watch.
“This is now a knockout competition and that’s the reality of it so why not dream? I think we got the toughest draw probably because City are different class.
“I love Pep and could watch his sides all day long. But Spurs, with their attacking quality, can cause them problems and I’m pretty sure Pep won’t be taking them lightly at all.”
Pochettino will hope his first trophy at Tottenham can be the prestigious Champions League.
