The problem is with Scottish football is it’s basically Celtic
Gordon Strachan
“The problem is with Scottish football is it’s basically Celtic over the last five years who do well in Europe,” Strachan said on Sky Sports.
“So they can deal with these kind of things.
“Rangers had a good year earlier in the (Europa League) group stage. That was good - I thought that was great.
“But we need to have more teams playing well in Europe so they (the players) can understand what it’s like to play in crisis games, at crisis moments.”

Of the four teams to qualify for the Europa League last season - only Celtic and Rangers made it into the group stages.
Both Hibs and Aberdeen were casualties in the early qualifying stages.
And Strachan reckons the blame in Scotland’s problems are across the board.
“You can't just blame these lads who have been down here,” he said.

“We’ve all got to look at ourselves. Everyone who is involved in Scottish football right now - from youth level all the way up - has got to say to themselves - and this might be dramatic because we could go on and win the next game and the next game.
“But at this point everyone in Scottish football has to say ‘have I been a part of this? Could I have been better? Could I have worked harder? Done more for the players? Could the club have done more?’.
“It’s very hard for us to say ‘this should have been done, or that’. Everybody should be involved in this defeat that we’re not pleased with.”
