Switzerland are already guaranteed at least a play-off place due to their performance in the Nations League.
Shaqiri has impressed for Liverpool this season, netting six goals and providing three assists in all competitions.
His form has tailed off recently though and Jurgen Klopp hasn’t used him in his last four Premier League matches.
In fact, Shaqiri hasn’t started a match since January 30.
