Klopp has admitted that he will be quick to remind his players that their opponents will be out for revenge.
When asked if last season’s result will motivate Sergio Conceicao’s players, his answer was convincing.
“One hundred per cent,” he said.
“Porto were not on my ‘wish list’, but now they are our opponent, it is how it is and we have to play them.
“The first thing you have to do is make sure everybody respects the opponent the right way – and we will do that 100 per cent.

“We will know about the quality of Porto and then we have to play the game. Our supporters are brilliant at that, respecting the opponent.
“I could not be further away from thinking it’s the best draw because it isn’t – it is just the draw, it’s the opponent we have to prepare for and that’s all we will be thinking about from when we start preparing for the game.”
Liverpool turn their attentions back to the Premier League this weekend when they visit relegation strugglers Fulham.
The Reds will be looking to leapfrog Manchester City and into first place with a win at Craven Cottage, the league leaders are in FA Cup action at Swansea on Saturday.
Klopp took the chance to make it clear ahead of the trip to west London that is not intending to spend big cash this summer.

“I don’t want to talk exactly what we will do, but I don’t think this is a team at the moment where we have to spend the big money or whatever,” he added.
“The best way to do it is bring together a group of players, try to develop them altogether and then stay together for a while.
“And that was maybe the main problem of Liverpool for the last decade.
“When they had a good team after a season they went all over the world. That will not happen this year for sure.”
