Liverpool team news vs Fulham: Predicted line up – Henderson and Keita out, three changes
JURGEN KLOPP could ring the changes when Liverpool face Fulham in their return to Premier League action on Sunday (2.15pm).
Liverpool are 'back where they belong' says Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool are expected to rotate their squad for the trip to Craven Cottage this weekend, having booked their spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.
A 3-1 win away from home against Bayern Munich sealed the Reds’ spot in the next round and Klopp may now look to utilise his squad players at lowly Fulham.
However, Jordan Henderson is not expected to feature after being forced off with an ankle injury after 13 minutes on Wednesday.
Naby Keita is also a doubt having missed the clash in Munich with a muscle injury and faces a race to be fit in time to make the match day squad.
Joe Gomez remains on the sidelines while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is short of match fitness and is not expected to be risked.
However, Dejan Lovren could come into the back four after making the bench for Liverpool’s past two matches.
The Croatian could line up alongside Virgil van Dijk while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are both likely to retain their full-back spots.
With Henderson and Keita potentially missing out, Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum could be joined by James Milner or Adam Lallana in the midfield three.
Lallana is in the hunt for his second consecutive league start after featuring from the off in the 4-2 win over Burnley last weekend.
Xherdan Shaqiri is another option for Klopp in midfield while the Swiss international could also be deployed on the right wing if a change of formation is adopted.
However, the attacking trio should remain the same with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino still yet to hit the heights of last season as a cohesive unit.
Liverpool are currently a point behind Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, with victory putting the pressure back on their rivals who play in the FA Cup this weekend.
