Liverpool have ONE advantage over Man City in Premier League title race - Tim Sherwood
LIVERPOOL have an easier set of fixtures than their Premier League title rivals Manchester City.
Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp looks ahead of the season
That is according to Sky Sports pundit and former Tottenham midfielder and head coach Tim Sherwood.
Liverpool are currently one point behind league leaders Manchester City with eight games of the season remaining.
The Reds have to face both Tottenham and Chelsea at Anfield in their only matches against the top six.
City also host Tottenham but have to visit rejuvenated local rivals Manchester United on April 24.
I think that’s a fantastic run of games. Possibly, on paper, easier than Man City’s
Sherwood says Liverpool should try to forget the fact they have not won a top-flight title since 1990.
He believes they must embrace the fact they are in a race with an easier run of games than their direct rivals.
However, he claims City have the better squad to deal with more difficult opponents.
“It’s a great run of fixtures,” Sherwood said.
“You’re going to have to take some tough games, Tottenham game at home is going to be a tough game for Liverpool, the Chelsea one, but you’re at home.
“I think that’s a fantastic run of games.
“Possibly, on paper, easier than Man City’s.
“But Man City have got the better players, they’ve got the stronger squad.

“And they’ve got course and distance, they’ve done it before.
“They haven’t got that pressure of 29 years.
“I keep saying it, I’m trying to take the pressure off.
“But they [Liverpool] should really embrace the fact they are challenging at the top of the league and there’s so many other teams that are not doing that.”
