What Marcus Rashford said about Man Utd team-mate Romelu Lukaku in 2017 will shock you
MANCHESTER UNITED strikers Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku have struck up a potent partnership over the past week - but judging by a video in August 2017, one of them certainly wears the trousers.

Both forwards notched as Manchester United completed an incredible comeback against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, winning 3-1 in the French capital.
Thanks to Lukaku’s brace and Rashford’s stoppage-time penalty, United became the first side in Champions League history to progress in the knockout stages after losing the first leg 2-0 at home.
Once wild scenes at the Parc des Princes had somewhat calmed, United’s goalscorers were put in front of the BT Sport microphones to talk through their triumph.
Lukaku praised his team-mate in the interview, saying: “Today it was a pleasure to play with him, and we both scored so we’re happy.
Rom [is a better finisher] - ruthless, ruthless
“Me and him agreed that when he steps out on the press I have to follow him, and he did well.
“I told him every time he shoots I’ll follow and that happened [for the second goal].”
The parity in their partnerships is striking, considering how irregularly they have played as a front two since Lukaku was bought in July 2017.
The balance in their relationship has not always been the case, however, as footage one month after the Belgian’s arrival at Old Trafford shows.
‘Red Rom’ hit the ground running at United, scoring three goals in his first three league games while Rashford had bagged one - and the pair were interviewed by BT Sport after the team’s impressive start to the campaign.
As Rashford was still fighting for his place under Mourinho, Lukaku arrived with some pedigree - he had scored 43 goals over the two previous seasons for Everton.
That idolisation was clear to see from Rashford when he was asked to compare himself to the former Chelsea striker in two categories.
Asked who was the best finisher, Rashford instantly replied: “Rom, ruthless, ruthless,” to which his team-mate nodded his head.

When it came to pace, Rashford nervously replied: “I don’t know,” before Lukaku interjected that he had come out quicker in tests the club had conducted.
Whether Rashford would still concede the loss in both categories would be intriguing, especially after the work of his caretaker manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
When the squad went away for warm-weather training in January, Jesse Lingard revealed: “Throughout the training sessions in Dubai he’s [Rashford] been practicing his finishing with the manager.
“It’s prepared him for big games and moments like that.”
Rashford has seven goals in 16 appearances since Solskjaer arrived, while Lukaku has 9 in 15.
