Uche Ikpeazu was left with a nasty cut on his head
The club legend has returned to his former stomping ground following Brendan Rodgers’ departure to Leicester.
Rodgers, who guided Celtic to two Premier League title, opted to return to the Premier League earlier this week.
Lennon has taken over in a caretaker capacity until the end of the season.
Before the clash, Celtic fans made it clear how they felt about Rodgers.
A banner read: "You traded immortality for mediocrity. Never a Celt. Always a Fraud."

Lennon, however, was quick to praise Rodgers despite strong feelings from the Celtic faithful.
"There's a chasm to fill with Brendan leaving," Lennon told Celtic TV.
"He's done a remarkable job, but I'm here for the club.
“The club comes first as do the players. I want to bring as much success during my time here as I possibly can.
"All I want to do is carry that on - it's not broken and I'm not coming in and looking to revolutionise anything."
