Rodgers is expected to return to the Premier League in the coming days, having overseen consecutive treble-winning seasons at Parkhead after joining in 2016.
It now appears that Rodgers’ final game in charge of Celtic will have been the 4-1 victory over Motherwell on Sunday, leaving the Hoops eight points clear of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
The 47-year-old could be seen waving to fans after the final whistle as he made his way off the pitch, potentially suggesting the former Liverpool boss knew he was leaving.
Speaking after the victory, Rodgers had been keen to ignore speculation linking him to the vacant Leicester role.
"My job is to concentrate on the football aspect, and that is with Celtic," he said.
"I've been stood here for two and a half years and I've been asked similar questions, my message is always very, very clear, I'm very concentrated on the game."

Rodgers was then asked directly about the Leicester interest, with the Celtic manager refusing to answer the question before ending the interview.
However, former Hoops goalkeeper Pat Bonner suggested such a move was sure to be appealing.
“Any manager, Brendan Rodgers included, would be interested in that type of job,” he said.
“It takes you back into the Premier League, it's well paid and they have the capabilities of challenging for Europe.”
