Fenerbahce lost 1-0 away at Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig at the weekend but will want to get back to winning ways tonight. But why is the game being played on a Tuesday?
Why are Fenerbahce playing Zenit St Petersburg tonight?
Fenerbahce will play Zenit St Petersburg on Tuesday, February 12, kicking off at 5.55pm.
Matches from the second tier of the Europa League are almost always played on Thursdays as Tuesdays and Wednesday are normally reserved for Champions League games.
But tonight’s clash between Fenerbahce and Zenit will be held early due to Fenerbahce's rivals Galatasaray hosting Benfica on Thursday.
Sevilla and Lazio will continue the unusual trend next week as they face off in their second leg clash on Wednesday ahead of Betis' Thursday game against Rennes.

Tonight’s game will be shown live on BT Sport ESPN and coverage will start from 5.45pm.
