Aaron Ramsey: Former Arsenal star takes dig at Gunners after Juventus switch confirmed
AARON RAMSEY will join Juventus this summer and a former Arsenal star has taken a dig at the Gunners.
Ramsey will move to Turin at the end of his Arsenal contract, and is believed to be picking up wages of £400,000 with the Serie A side.
The midfielder’s future had been in doubt after negotiations with Arsenal broke down last summer.
Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Real Madrid were all credited with interest for the midfielder.
But he will move to Juventus where he will again join forces with former Arsenal team-mate Wojciech Szczesny.
And the goalkeeper has taken a dig at his old club and their lack of success in recent years.
Commenting on Instagram, the Pole wrote: “Welcome to Juve family! Get yourself ready for hard work.
“The next few years is all about winning!
“PS. Whats my comission (sic)!”
Ramsey himself issued an emotional statement to Gunners fans after his move was confirmed.
He wrote: “As you may have already heard, I have agreed a pre-contract with Juventus Football Club.
“I wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans who have been extremely loyal and supportive.
“You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I’ve encountered during my time at the club.
Ryan Giggs says Aaron Ramsey can ‘improve’ at Juventus
“It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in North London. Thank you.
“I will continue to give the team 100 per cent and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin.”
Ramsey could still have a successful end to his Arsenal career with the Gunners still in contention for the Europa League.
They face BATE Borisov in the last-32 with the first leg in Belarus on Thursday (5.55pm).
