Arsenal's new signing Denis Suarez: Come on you Gunners
Denis Suarez has been training alone in a bid to prove his fitness ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Manchester City this weekend.
Suarez completed a loan move from Barcelona yesterday, with the Spaniard set to stay with the Gunners until the end of the season.
After some confusion surrounding the announcement of his move, the 25-year-old is now in a race to show Unai Emery he is ready to make his Arsenal debut.
Suarez was spotted going through some running drills with fitness coach Julen Masach at London Colney on Thursday, and fans will be pleased to see the midfielder looking fighting fit.
The versatile ace, who also agreed a contract extension with Barcelona until 2021 during the recent negotiations, then carried out some strength and conditioning work before heading outside again.
Suarez showed off his ball control and displayed some of his shooting ability, although his passing will be of more interest to Emery if deployed in a central midfield role.
Gunners supporters will be delighted to see their new signing kitted out in Arsenal gear as he wrapped up warm against the elements.
The north London club have an option to sign their new player on a permanent deal at the end of the season, depending on how well Suarez settles at the Emirates.

The Spanish ace has experience of playing in England, having had a spell with Manchester City between 2011 and 2013.
However, Suarez did not make a Premier League appearance for City and is now targeting a top-flight debut against his former side.
Emery, who worked with Suarez during his time at Sevilla, said: “We are very happy that Denis Suarez is joining us. He is a player we know well and I have worked with him at Sevilla.
"He brings us quality and options in many different attacking positions, so he'll be able to help the team."
