Arsenal transfer news: What Yannick Carrasco's agent has said will get Gunners fans hoping
ARSENAL have received a boost in their pursuit of Dalian Yifang star Yannick Carrasco.
Arsenal: Yannick Carrasco would be a 'brilliant addition' says fan
Arsenal have been tipped to sign Carrasco from Dalian Yifang, despite the transfer deadline creeping up.
The Gunners have until 11pm on Thursday to get a deal for the Belgium international over the line and, so far, things have been tricky.
Arsenal are only able to sign players on loan this month, with funds set to be released for Unai Emery at the end of the season.
Carrasco only joined Dalian from Atletico Madrid a year ago.
But the forward is eager to return to Europe and, with Arsenal chasing a winger, a move could happen.
And Carrasco’s agent has admitted there is a ‘possibility’ of the player being allowed to leave this month.
“There’s the possibility that Dalian reward his honesty,” he said.
“And talk to the clubs interested in him.”
However, Carrasco’s agent also admitted that it could be a difficult move to pull off.
“Everything is possible but it seems difficult to do so,” he added.
“Because it would take decisive and rapid movements by the interested clubs to discuss and strike a deal with his current club.”
Carrasco is wanted by Arsenal as an alternative to Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
The Gunners launched an enquiry for the Croatia international over the weekend.
But Inter want the forward to leave permanently - something Arsenal are unable to agree to.
Arsenal are, though, close to landing Denis Suarez from Barcelona.
The move taking the Spain international to the Emirates Stadium is expected to be finalised today.
