DENIS SUAREZ teased Arsenal fans by liking Gunners-related social media posts on Saturday night.
Arsenal: Denis Suarez shows off impressive skills
The Barcelona midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates but one of the January window’s most talked about transfers is still to be confirmed.
It was claimed that Barca were digging their heels in, while Arsenal are struggling to raise the funds to complete a permanent deal.
They are expected to complete a loan deal until the end of the season and Suarez appears o be keen on the move.
After Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-0 on Saturday, the Spaniard, 25, liked a post from Bleacher Report football that celebrated their victory.
Suarez has been frozen out of the first team at Barcelona this season and Gunners boss Unai Emery is a huge admirer having worked with Suarez when the pair were at Sevilla.
And he has urged his board to get the deal done.
"I know it's a difficult window for the transfer market and if a player is coming to help us I am happy," he said.
“But the club is doing that and I am going to wait.”
Emery was speaking after his side beat Chelsea 2-0 at the Emirates thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.
Arsenal closed the gap on the fop four to just three points and they leapfrog Chelsea into the Champions League places if they beat Cardiff at home next Tuesday as Chelsea do not go to Bournemouth until the following day.
Emery said beating one of their rivals was a huge step in the right direction.
Before Saturday they had won only one of their last four games in the Premier League.
"I'm very pleased with this victory and these three points. After our defeat at West Ham we needed to show our supporters a strong moment," he said.
"I think we can improve. We can be optimistic in the future but we need to find a good balance between when we're playing away and when we're playing at home.
“We can be optimistic because we are closer to a lot of teams like Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United.
"I'm very happy with the last 20 minutes and how we defended against them. The first half made the difference with the result, but in the second half we showed how we can defend together."
