Transfer news: Every Premier League club's most likely January signing – Higuain and Costa
THE TRANSFER WINDOW has been open for two weeks and a flurry of deals have already gone through, but there are plenty still to come before the end of the month.
The January transfer window is always a frenetic time for players and fans as clubs look to secure the best reinforcements possible for the second half of the season.
A number of Premier League sides are expected to be busy this month, with a host of high-profile names having already been linked with a move to the UK.
Chelsea got the jump on their rivals by snapping up Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic just days after the window opened.
The US international has already agreed a £58million move to join the Blues but will only move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, having rejoined Dortmund on loan until then.
West Ham have snapped up Samir Nasri on a free following the completion of the Frenchman’s doping ban while Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis have both left the Premier League for Rangers.
However, several big deals are yet to be finalised including the arrival of a new striker at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have identified Gonzalo Higuain as their top target with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud both misfiring, while a new midfielder in the form of Nicola Barella or Leandro Paredes is also desired.
